You've got this GREAT quality to Inuyasha's face that I hope you keep because it just says so much about him.

However, Kagome seems at once too old, and too young, and almost too sultry. If she's your basic teenaged Japanese schoolgirl, she needs younger features. I would say to use a reference for her face and figure. Inu's you can have a bit of a margin for error becuase of his robes. But I'd say definitely work on her face and body for some more realism. I can completely see where you or I or anyone else would have a problem working from imagination (and I tend to work from imagination with some drawing classes' memories to help out), and some things are just crap to draw from imagination alone. One has to trial-and-error it till it LOOKS right, even if it may not be right.

I do like the colors and the idea of this piece, so I think if you can work out the Kagome thing, it'll come out really nice.

Wow!, this is just spectacular. There's a real feeling of solidness to the figures that is very impressive, and I love the background, especially the reflection in the water. I think it says something that even without references you can create something this powerful and detailed.

Thank you! I've gotten some negative feedback (not here) about the style I draw the characters in (non-anime/manga), so it's always nice to hear that people like how I've drawn them as actually being Japanese. And thanks for the !
